DipaliZ Border Ruled Notepad Magnetic Backing

This DipaliZ notepad is a ruled letter-size pad measuring 8.5 by 11 inches, with a magnetic backing board. Every sheet is ruled inside a floral border, and the pad holds 40 or 50 single-sided tear-away sheets. A ruled pad at this size is really a letter-writing pad, and the magnet means it can be stored on a cabinet rather than in a drawer.

The story behind this design

A full page of ruling can look severe, so the border on this pad is drawn heavier at the corners and thinner along the runs, which softens the rectangle without eating into the lines. The flowers are worked in a single color family, deep rose through to blush, so the frame reads as one continuous piece rather than a collection of separate blooms.
